quick question about music

So, regarding the Modest Mouse lyric in the diablog: are they good or over?

I've made mistakes before by neglecting to listen to friends' favorite bands because of the hype, when in fact those bands were very good. Especially true of bands that played a lot in Seattle. Like Xiu Xiu.
