On the road

I'm writing this from gate 12 at JFK airport. For the past couple days the prospect of a week of driving had been giving me the fantods, but now that I'm truly on the road I feel lighter, as I always do.

The driver from the Tel Aviv Limousine service turned out, improbably, to be a friendly elderly Palestinian. "Yes, Tel Aviv has Egyptians, Syrians, Indians, even Chinese... some Jews." He's been a New Yorker for 35 years but goes back to Palestine every year for three months: "The Republicans only want war," he ranted, "so the Democrats are the only party that is any good." He's voting for Kerry this November.

Nice design. But but but but! A link to "previous page of entries" would be a great utility.

damn fine looking, welcome back

"stealing from the poor; giving to the rich; authorizing torture, rape, and murder; poisoning the land; lying and cheating" you must be thinking of Reagan. Oh wait, yeah I guess that applies to Bush Too, too
